Dr. Austin was born and raised in Orlando, FL, and attended the University of Florida where he received his BS and MS in Food Science and Human Nutrition. His interest in Nutrition and Podiatric Medicine stemmed from his own personal family history of various pathologies, including diabetes and its accompanying lower extremity complications.

He received a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from The Pennsylvania State University prior achieving a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University.
