  • Four year comprehensive training program in forefoot, rear foot and reconstructive surgery at a Level 1 trauma university hospital.
  • Responsibilities: preparing/participating in surgical cases, in- house and back up call, consults on floors and with three emergency departments, clinical duties and educational activities.
  • Surgical training: foot/ ankle trauma such as ankle, pilon and calcaneal fractures, gunshot wounds, diabetic limb salvage, infection management, elective forefoot and rear foot surgeries, revisional reconstruction.
  • Rotations: Trauma (Level 1), Vascular Surgery, Burn Intensive Care Unit and Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Anesthesia, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Radiology, Pathology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Department.
  • Chief Resident leadership roles: Overseeing the on call schedule, running grand rounds, creating and coordinating bi-weekly academic lectures and skills laboratories, arranging rotation schedules for junior residents.
